Metronome (Irregular Time Signatures)

[How to Use]

•Trying a few Presets is the quickest way to understand what this tool does and how to use it.

•The time signatures you type into the Time Signature Input are what gets played.

•To enter multiple time signatures, join them with a "+".

•Numerators can be 1–100 and denominators must be a power of 2 (from 2 up to 1024).

•A metronome whose cycle exceeds 1800 seconds (30 minutes) cannot be played.

•Use Sound Settings to switch the sound of each click.

•Use the speaker icons in Sound Settings to toggle mute on and off.

Sound changes and mute toggles take effect instantly, even while the metronome is playing.

•Pressing the "Copy URL" button copies a URL that records the metronome's current state to your clipboard. Open that URL next time to load the page with the same settings you had when you pressed the button.

[Notes]

•In the Time Signature Input, any text other than digits, "/", and "+" is ignored.

•There is no save feature for time-signature text. Keep your own copy of the source, or use "Copy URL".

Presets currently include entries.

•The time-signature interpretations of the reference songs in Presets are the developer's own and may not always be correct.

•The BPM applied by a Preset may be approximate and is not always exact.

•If you spot an obvious mistake, we'd appreciate it if you'd let us know via Contact.

[Time Signature Buttons]

•Buttons that let you enter a time signature with a single tap.

  • Insert mode "Replace": the text box is replaced with that time signature.
  • Insert mode "Add": that time signature is appended to the end of the text box.

•Choose any denominator, then press an insert button (a number from 2 to 7) to enter the time signature into the text box.

[Comment-Out Feature]

•By default, the following lines are ignored (their numbers are not counted as time signatures):

  • Lines starting with "//"
  • Lines starting with "※"
  • Lines starting with "【" and ending with "】"
  • Lines starting with "/*" and ending with "*/"

•To turn off the comment-out feature, uncheck "Use the default strings" under Set Comment-Out Strings.

[Set Comment-Out Strings]

You can set any string to be used for commenting out lines, as follows.
* This can be combined with the default settings.

1. Check "Use custom strings" under Set Comment-Out Strings.
2. Enter any string in the text box that appears.
3. Press the "Add" button.

[Denominator Buttons]

You can double or halve the denominator of the time-signature text.

When the toggle is set to "Keep the rhythm", doubling the denominator halves the BPM, and halving the denominator doubles the BPM.

If the resulting BPM would fall outside the range 1–400, the operation is canceled.

[If you hear no sound…]

•Check your device's volume settings and mute settings.

•Try pressing the play / stop button a few times.

•Check that the sound is not muted in Sound Settings on screen.

•Check that the on-screen "Volume" slider is not set to 0.

•Try reloading the page.

•If you still hear no sound after trying the above, we'd appreciate it if you'd let us know via Contact.
