Metronome (Polyrhythm)

[How to Use]

• Trying a few Presets is the quickest way to understand what this tool does and how to use it.

• It also works as rhythm-training material. Presets include many practice patterns.

• It can also be used as a simple rhythm machine. Presets include several rhythm patterns.

• Tap / click each note to turn its click sound on or off individually.

• Use the eye icons in Metronome Settings to toggle the visualization of each rhythm on and off.

• Use Sound Settings to switch the sound of each click.

• Use the speaker icons in Sound Settings to toggle mute on and off.

Sound changes and mute toggles take effect instantly, even while the metronome is playing.

• Pressing the "Copy URL" button copies a URL that records the metronome's current state to your clipboard. Open that URL next time to load the page with the same settings you had when you pressed the button.

[Notes]

• The LCM value is the least common multiple of the two rhythms.

• The GCD value is the greatest common divisor of the two rhythms.

• Two numbers are "coprime" when the only positive integer that divides both of them is 1 (that is, their GCD is 1).

Presets currently include entries.

• If you're not sure what a "polyrhythm" is in the first place, see this article that explains polyrhythms in detail.

[If you hear no sound…]

• Check your device's volume settings and mute settings.

• Try pressing the play / stop button a few times.

• Check that the sound is not muted in Sound Settings on screen.

• Check that the on-screen "Volume" slider is not set to 0.

• Try reloading the page.

• If you still hear no sound after trying the above, we'd appreciate it if you'd let us know via Contact.
